The MXH570 PCI Express 5.0 NTB Host Adapter is our high performance product. Based on Microchip Switchtec PCI Express 5.0 bridging architecture, the MXH570 host adapter includes advanced features for non-transparent bridging (NTB), DMA operations and clock isolation. The MXH570 is designed to the PCI-SIG CopprLink 1.0 specification. The adapter card supports the full Dolphin eXpressWare software stack.

The MXH570 PCI Express 5.0 NTB Host Adapter is our high performance clustering product. Based on Microchip Switchtec® PCIe 5.0 bridging architecture, the MXH570 host adapter includes features for non-transparent bridging and clock isolation.

For high performance application developers, the MXH570 host adapter provides a system to system throughput starting just above 57 Gigabytes / second and application to application latency around 500 nanoseconds (system dependent). Using the latest SmartIO technology software from Dolphin, GPU / Cuda applications can stream data to remote GPUs at at the same speed as to local GPUs. Advanced DMA features enables fast reliable data transfers.

Dolphin eXpressWare

The MXH570 card comes with a full license to the Dolphin eXpressWare clustering software. This includes

  • SISCI API - a robust and powerful shared memory programming environment for PCIe
  • Standard TCP/IP drivers
  • SuperSockets socket accelerator software
  • SmartIO - access to remote PCIe devices over PCIe
  • Board management software

Dolphin's software suite takes advantage of DMA and PIO data transfer schemes to effectively support both large and small data transfers. PIO transfers are optimized for small packet transfers at the lowest possible latency. DMA moves data with virtually no CPU consumption. The eXpressWare software is currently available for Linux and Windows.

Cables

The MXH570 card has one CDFP / CopprLink 1.0 x16 cable connector and is optimized to support long copper and fiber optic cables. More information on cables for the MXH570.

PCIe Surprise Hot-Add

In combination with Dolphin's eXpressWare, the MXH570 supports surprise hot-add when connected to a traditional external IO system. More on Dolphins Hot Add. If you don't need Transparent Hot Add, please select the MXH572 PCIe 5.0 Adapter card.
